Attentio is Latin for “attention.”
Because protecting vulnerable people starts with paying attention. Attentio brings support teams together, giving everyone clear oversight so we can notice risks early, act quickly, and provide optimal care.
Built From Real Needs
Hi, I’m Dr Tracey Egan (PhD). As an inclusion educator, leader and researcher, I have observed too many vulnerable people (of all ages) failed by poor communication and not being supported in the ways they needed. Instead of being supported, too often professional ‘helpers’ added a layer of stress and complexity that could have been alleviated through aligned and informed practices.
As a neurodivergent parent of a neurodivergent Dependant, I was exhausted from repeating myself to an inconsistent team. I realised I needed a tool to communicate my Dependant’s needs while ensuring team members responded to her needs with understanding and strategies customised for her. I searched for this magical tool; I was dismayed It didn’t exist..
So I created Attentio.
I foregrounded two things:
-
Dependants required consistent responses from the people in their life.
-
Supporters need to be kept up-to-date with changes to the Dependant’s way of being in the world.
Designed for real life
Attentio wasn’t created in a boardroom.
It was built from lived experience — from moments of overwhelm, miscommunication, and the deep desire to support people better. Families, carers, educators, and specialists all face the same challenge: remembering what helps, what doesn’t, and how to respond calmly — especially during difficult moments.
Simple, not clinical
Attentio focuses on what actually works.
We use clear, respectful language — not jargon — so everyone can understand and apply the plan with confidence. We guide you to provide clear information about your dependant, for your dependant.
Responsive, not static
Support shouldn’t rely on memory or infrequent meetings.
Attentio updates in real time, so information stays current.
